Specialising in the exhibition and preservation of film, video and media art providing expertise for artists, filmmakers, collectors, galleries, museums and organisations. Drawing on my 15 year experience of working as a Senior Technician in Tate’s Time-based Media and Audio-visual departments, I am currently based at UCL East within the Conservation of Contemporary Art and Media MSc programme. I offer services for:
Conservation
Support with legacy equipment and media, maintenance, archiving, format migration, storage, and digital preservation.
Capture and Digitzation
From analogue and digital tape-based formats such as U-matic, VHS, Betamax, Betacam, Digital Betacam, Mini DV, DVCAM and HDCAM, along with both 16mm and 35mm film formats.
Consultancy
Auditing, collection and database management.
Acquisition
Media appraisal and condition assessment.
Installation
